Find The Great Jace Escape at the Korner

    I have some wonderful news!

You can now find The Great Jace Escape at Heather’s Korner, located in Southbury, CT!

Heather’s Korner carries everything from clothing to honey, keychains to quilts, jewelry to plants… and now she even carries The Great Jace Escape!

The best part about this adorable store, is that everything is made by a local vendor. When you buy from Heather’s Korner, you are supporting at least 2 small businesses at the same time. You’ll find unique items, friendly service, and you’ll be helping your community thrive with every purchase.

The second best thing about the store is the way it smells! The homemade soap and hand poured candles get me every time.

While you’re browsing the unique collection of gifts and local treasures at this cozy boutique, be sure to pick up a copy of my book. Every purchase helps a small business and brings independent authors’ stories to more readers.

Go for the boutique, grab a unique gift, and spread the word about the book.

Better yet, if you leave with a copy and gift… I won’t tell your wallet.

  • When the Word came to life

When the Word came to life

I had the best time presenting The Great Jace Escape to the children at Cornerstone Church. This time, I was invited to also teach! You can find the entire lesson for free, only on my website, Jennballaro.com.

What better lesson for an author to teach; a lesson about God’s story!

We talked all about words. And, of course, how in the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh.

I taught them all about some of the more popular stories in the Bible and even discussed some of the lesser-known ones. They were amazed that there is a story in the Bible with a talking donkey (Numbers 22).

We talked about the difference between fiction and truth, how we are all a part of God’s story, and how Jesus himself told stories in the Bible.

We had a great time discussing talents and gifts and how they can be used for God’s glory. They have some amazing talents! I finally figured out where my portion of musical talent went- some of the children can play four instruments!

The gift of creativity can come in all shapes and sizes, right Mila?

At the end there was even time for them to make a story of their own. Some of them were brave enough to try reading their stories to the group.

The key takeaway for them, and for you…

    God gave you a gift.

    God gave you a story.

Now go and use both, for His Glory!

  • First Book Signing

    First Book Signing

A few weeks ago, I had so much fun at my very first book signing. It was so busy, that we didn’t get a chance to grab a lot of pictures. Just one….

I met with so many people who had already enjoyed The Great Jace Escape or who were looking for a copy of their very own. You can always buy the book here https://a.co/d/01yBgeUD.

I did get a few questions about whether there would be a sequel….

    Now that’s a great idea!

The afternoon was a big success. In fact- we sold out of books and needed to place orders for a few more!

I have another in-person book sale planned for next month.

Maybe next time we can pause for a few pictures. 😉
