Katherine Hepburn once famously asked;

“What in the world would we do without our libraries?”

I clutch my pearls and shudder to think of it.

Libraries are amazing!

They are places of knowledge, of community, of resources. They are fountains of possibilities, passports to other worlds, gateways to imaginations. Libraries are containers of order and structure, in an otherwise chaotic world, mingled with the unpredictability of the  occasional wild animal (and no, I’m not talking about the librarians).

Much like her patrons, each library is unique. Some libraries are a little more dog-eared than others. Libraries can also be a treasure chest of the latest additions. Big or small, new or “vintage”; we are on a mission to visit them all.
